Hephzibah Children's Association

Oak Park, IL

About Hephzibah Children's Association

Hephzibah’s Group Homes provide care and therapeutic services to children age three to 11 in the Chicago Metro Area who are recovering from profound experiences of abuse and neglect.

What would Hephzibah Children's Association do with $25,000?

The grant would help Hephzibah Children’s Association continue to provide care to children suffering from profound emotional and physical distress. For children who have suffered severe family upheaval, education is often the next thing to suffer. Hephzibah has created programs, such as the Reading Academy to help traumatized children reach their full academic potential. The Reading Academy takes into account not only the child’s academic needs but also their emotional and social needs. The Reading Academy paves the way for them to become strong, contributing adults in society.
